Yoga for all
I teach Hatha yoga (with other influences). My yoga sessions are friendly, unintimidating, lively, creative and inspiring. I believe in having fun and learning how to stay centred, positive and strong. My sessions include breathing techniques, stretching, classic asanas, relaxation, visualisation and meditation.
The general yoga classes are suitable for both sexes and all ages. I have had three generations of the same family attending my classes at the same time; Baby at postnatal, Mum at antenatal and postnatal, and Grandma in the General yoga class! The benefits come from going at your own pace. Yoga builds up our energy reserves and can strengthen and awaken as well as relax and centre us.
Yoga postures (asanas) are designed to improve metabolism, digestion, elimination, circulation and the functioning of the glands and nervous system. By working through the muscles, nerves and the breath, we can fine tune our energy and develop a healthy sensitivity to ourselves and the environment.
As well as my group classes, I also offer:

Antenatal Yoga
I am a qualified Birthlight teacher and my passion is in antenatal and postnatal yoga. My main experiences derive from my own three children.
Yoga in pregnancy can be a special time for mother and baby to engage in the initial bonding stage and to become focussed. Yoga is very empowering at a time when women are more intuitive and can reconnect with their instinct, listening to their 'inner voice'.
Yoga in pregnancy helps to prevent aches, pains, fear, and anxiety. Yoga improves circulation and suppleness. It helps you to face labour positively, living in the present 'here and now', facing each event as it occurs.
